Value for honey: yield of 46 kg/colony/season reported (a<br />

surplus per colony in 3 weeks 5° ; N sugar concentration<br />

clover and is probably not preferred to these 90 ; more imp<br />

source of surplus in s. Sask., and coastal B.C. 72 (a beekee<br />

that surplus from this sp. is unlikely in coastal B.C.' ); al<br />

under cool cloudy conditions that stops clover from yielding<br />

than sweet clover 72 ; beekeepers on the Eastern Seaboard<br />

freely sowing seed in waste 1and 79 (early in century).<br />

Value for pollen: bees hover humming-bird fashion while co<br />
