CHAPTER 3: Configuration Mode Commands Arguments This argument records the IP address assigned to this interface. This argument records the number of bits in the subnet mask, or the subnet mask. dhcp_server Enter this argument to activate DHCP server service on this appliance. -clients NUMBER This argument indicates the number of clients permitted DHCP access. -lease_time NUMBER This argument indicates the lease time for all client connections, and any limitations, recorded as minutes. This argument records the number of bits in the subnet mask (for example, “/16” is equivalent to the address 255.255.0.0), or the actual subnet mask address. [-mtu num] This allows you to set the size of the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU). The default is 1500 bytes. [-100_full_duplex | -100_half_duplex| -10_full_duplex|-10_half_duplex | - auto]] | This setting allows you to specify the speed at which the interface will operate. [dhcp ["host_id"]] | This allows you to obtain the IP address of interface 1 using DHCP. [pppoe -user "name" -password "password"] This allows you to set Interface 1 to PPPoE.
