ILONA CIUNATE: I read one book since then, it was about<br />

Buddhism and it clearly pointed exactly that way, but I never<br />

heard about it before. So discovered first, and then read about it.<br />

WIZARD: So it's the discovery of what we are is Now <strong>with</strong>out any<br />

conditions, is that what you're saying?<br />

ILONA CIUNATE: Yes. <strong>The</strong> discovery of what is and what isn't as<br />

in what a fantasy is and what is happening right Now <strong>with</strong>out<br />

thinking about it.<br />

WIZARD: Yes.<br />

TRIP: So are you able to put that into words for yourself?<br />

ILONA CIUNATE: Why? You don't need words, live it.<br />

TRIP: Well you help people, I've looked at some of the<br />

conversations people who are still blocked, who are still invested<br />

in the idea of themselves as a separate person. And I noticed that<br />

you and others in your group help people through this process of<br />

clearly seeing the reality of no self, and it's a dialogue that you<br />

enter into <strong>with</strong> them, a questioning. Do you want to talk about<br />

how that goes down, where someone who's really invested in the<br />

idea; because almost everybody is heavily invested in the idea of<br />

themselves as a separate person. What is this modality of<br />

questioning or looking that you have discovered that you feel is a<br />

direct and fairly easy way for people to see the Truth of no self?<br />

ILONA CIUNATE: Okay. I read this Jed McKenna's book, and<br />

one thing that struck was it's always about the next question. So I<br />

figure that the mind needs to figure something out, and yes, it's<br />

always about the next question. And people don't know what to<br />

ask exactly, and when I read Jed McKenna's books I went into a<br />

depression and deconstruction of belief, and saw that all beliefs<br />

are just stories, and we learn them from others. And no one ever<br />

questions that.<br />
