TRIP: Yes.<br />

FRANCIS LUCILLE: Well, I went into a tangent, right? About<br />

attachments…<br />

TRIP: I see.<br />

WIZARD: An aversion is still attachment.<br />

FRANCIS LUCILLE: Aversion is still attachment, yes.<br />

WIZARD: Yes. If you have an aversion to twice as much as<br />

what's happening <strong>with</strong> you, now, everything is doubled up. If you<br />

have an aversion and fight that, that's not exactly going <strong>with</strong> the<br />

flow, because it's all part of one display, one invisible<br />

phenomenon. So however that changes, the proper<br />

response is acceptance rather than aversion, whether there's an<br />

aversion to losing the cow or an aversion to doubling your<br />

apparent possessions.<br />

FRANCIS LUCILLE: <strong>The</strong> possessions are immaterial; it's the<br />

attachment to them that is the problem. So if there is an<br />

attachment it means there is somebody attached, an attachment is<br />

like a lined segment <strong>with</strong> two end points. One of the end points is<br />

that to which we are attached, the other end point is the alleged<br />

separate person who is attached to it, either through desire or<br />

through fear or aversion. Yes, you're absolutely right, John.<br />

TRIP: And I think then maybe this brings up for me something<br />

that happened in my personal life which I'm not going to get into,<br />
