EM BE: Anything can be like Santa Claus. <strong>The</strong>re is no more Santa<br />

Claus issue. And the I-thought is the doer, but it's only an<br />

impression of doer, there is no doer, there's never been a doer.<br />

Over and over I refer all of us to that, there is never any doer. It's<br />

very difficult from the doer position to hear that, because it<br />

negates the doer that is hearing that, so the doer will always argue<br />

<strong>with</strong> that, it will say, well, if there is no doer then who is speaking<br />

right now? It positions a doer where there is no doer, because<br />

that's what the doer's position is, it's the function of the doer is to<br />

position the doer and to have an ongoing love affair <strong>with</strong> itself,<br />

<strong>with</strong> the impression of doership.<br />

WIZARD: Yes, which is really narcissistic. In that belief, and for<br />

the doer to affirm its primacy in being, it has to have the job of<br />

doing something.<br />

EM BE: Yes, right.<br />

WIZARD: And that's where it feels its power.<br />

EM BE: Yeah. What is so lovely about this, John is that the entire<br />

play, the doership job and play, and love affair <strong>with</strong> itself, it is<br />

happening in the spaciousness of Being. So even to say, I am<br />

talking, there is an awareness of that very thought otherwise that<br />

thought would not even be uttered. <strong>The</strong>re is awareness that<br />

precedes every feat. Again, using this language in a relative sense,<br />

just as pointers, because really there is no before and after, it's not<br />

a temporal dimension; just using the language in the relative<br />

sense, always preceding every move, every thought, every<br />

perception, and every sensation.<br />

So even before the argument arises that, oh well, I am this, there is<br />

a recognition, there is an awareness, a recognition of awareness of<br />

that which is being point, which is being spoken, spoken of as<br />

being me. So, yes, the entire play is happening in the spaciousness<br />

of Being, and that spaciousness of being is formless, it has no place<br />

where it starts, no direction where it goes, there is nothing, no<br />

rules that are constraining it, or telling it how to be what it is, what<br />
