catches the fly. <strong>The</strong> flame is still, yet it attracts the moth. <strong>The</strong> hole<br />

in the ground is still, yet it fills <strong>with</strong> water after rain. Be still and<br />

realize your true purpose". As I read that I thought, wow, that is<br />

really profound and how true, and I also thought back to a time<br />

when those were just empty words to me. A bunch of things had<br />

happened before they ceased to become empty words, but after<br />

they became filled <strong>with</strong> just a bit of meaning, there was a<br />

willingness to experiment <strong>with</strong> that. Can you talk about that, you<br />

have to try that on; you can't just sit there and wait for the fly<br />

<strong>with</strong>out experimenting in waiting for the fly, right?<br />

BRIAN EZZELL: Yes, in my own experience you go through<br />

searching, and seeking, and trying to find different things, and<br />

there comes a point where you exhaust all methods.<br />

WIZARD: Right on.<br />

BRIAN EZZELL: I was reading something I believe that<br />

Adyashanti said, that was saying, he said that there was a man that<br />

was running, and he was running, and running, and running, and<br />

running. Until a guy comes up to him, probably a sage of some<br />

kind, and said, "Hey what are you running for?" He said, "I'm<br />

running to find stillness". And he said, "Okay, well it's just right<br />

around the corner, keep going, [Laughs], just keep going and<br />

eventually you'll find it. And if it's not around that corner then<br />

keep going down and turn another corner. It's just right over<br />

there", you know. And eventually you will get, in time, that person<br />

will get tired out, just plum tuckered, and will realize that the very<br />

thing they've been searching for was right there all along, all they<br />

had to do was just stop.<br />

So, yes, I can certainly identify <strong>with</strong> that, I used to read all<br />

different types of text, and still do from time to time. But the<br />

desire to read more and to search for these different things, it's not<br />

that I found the answer; it's not that I have reached some supreme<br />

enlightenment; it's just that the desire has been lifted from me. It<br />

happens naturally over time I guess, you just realize that I don't<br />
