completely right, or abstaining from one thing, and grasping for<br />

the other, it's being, and as my teacher would say to me, lighten<br />

up, it's okay just to be that which you are, and there's no need to<br />

try to strive to be something more perfect, because that's just<br />

duality working all over again, you're trying to be more perfect.<br />

You don't see a dog out there trying to be a more perfect dog, do<br />

you? You don't see a tree trying to be a more perfect tree, and yet<br />

they grow in all different types of ways, some lean over, and some<br />

go forward, and some are spindly, and some are mighty. And yet<br />

they are what they are, and they're perfectly happy to be that way I<br />

think.<br />

So I don't see a need to over analyze our Beingness that we need to<br />

be something more or less than what we already are.<br />

WIZARD: <strong>The</strong>re are no role models, none. Nisargadatta chained<br />

smoked.<br />

BRIAN EZZELL: Oh, did he?<br />

WIZARD: Yes, that was his business, that's how he made his<br />

living was selling cigarettes or what they call beedis, which are just<br />

little cigarettes.<br />

BRIAN EZZELL: My teacher, John, he smoked up until the last<br />

month that he passed away, didn't die of lung cancer, but he was<br />

quite the smoker.<br />

WIZARD: No role models at all.<br />

TRIP: So then we could say maybe that moderation tends to be a<br />

by-product of being, but then there's no hard and fast rule.<br />

BRIAN EZZELL: That's right. Yes. Being will create moderation<br />

on its own if you will, it happens naturally.<br />

TRIP: You wrote a little thing on being that I liked, you say, "<strong>The</strong><br />

flower is still, yet it attracts the bee. <strong>The</strong> spider's web is still, yet it<br />
