Mont Saint-Romain
Access from the village of Blanot, 580m. Magnificient circular panorama with
orientation table.
Signal de la Mère boîtier
Between Tramayes and Pierreclos, highest point of the region (758m). Landscape
opening onto the Bresse and Beaujolais regions and the heights of the Mâconnais.
Mount Saint-Cyr
Located in the village land of Montmelard, Mount
Saint Cyr offers a superb panorama over the
Charolais copses, to the north over the Morvan hills
and to the south-west over the Massif Central.
Natural sites and landscape
Arborétum of Pézanin
Set in beautiful parkland, covering a total area
of 27 hectares, Pézanin has a wealth of some 450
species or varieties of trees from all over the world. In the pond, abundant in carp
and pike, fishing is permit- ted for holders of a day permit. A picnic area is organised
in a huge meadow, with tables, benches and barbecues.

Natura 2000. Natura 2000 is a biodiversity management tool, the aim of which is
not to put nature in a greenhouse but rather to conserve or improve agricultural
and forestry methods that are favourable to the fauna and flora of community
interest.

The Saint-Point lake
Organised and supervised swimming during July and
August. Water activities: pedalo hire; windsurfing
possible. Picnic area, barbecue and snack bar.

The Abbey Park
Created in the mid 14th century, the park has undergone many
changes over the centuries. Today it contains 24 different
deciduous species and 10 evergreen species. Free entry all
year round.
A play area is available for children aged 3 to 6, under
adult supervision. Access to the park isstrictly forbidden to all
motorised vehicles. Dogs must be kept on a lead.
The Simples garden
Overlooking the narthex, the «Simples» garden, of medieval
inspiration, contains around a hundred varieties of plants
with healing properties and aromatic species.
Fishing Holiday permit (30 €): Valid for 15 consecutive
days, during the period from 1st June to 31 December, the
holiday permit allows all kinds of fishing in the 1st category
(1 line max.) and in 2nd category (4 lines max).
Day permit (9.50 €): Valid for 1 day during the period from 1st June to 31 December, the
day permit allows all kinds of fishing in the 1st category (1 line max.) and in 2nd category (4
lines max.).

Gardens
The Clunisienne and clunisoise Rose Garden
At the foot of the Round Tower, the Clunisienne and Clunisoise Rose Garden is a botanical
conservatory with a wealth of 244 rare varieties, including the Resurrection rose and the Peace
rose, created in homage to all those who were deported during the Second World War.
