. Saint Martin’s Church
has lived through many eras, the transept under the
bell tower, the bell tower and the apse date from the
Romanesque era, and the nave was built between
1870 and 1873.

cCurtil-sous-Buffières
Curtil-sous-Buffières is built on the slope of a hill
set with copses and woods. Historical heritage
includes here a castle (private property, not
open for visits), a Romanesque church, a
washhouse, standing stones, old houses and a
well. The castle was lived in by Spanish monks.
In the old priory an inscription can still be seen
written in Spanish. According to tradition the
water in the courtyard healed fever, colds and
rheumatism.

Donzy-le-National
This village with its wooded, rolling landscape, boasts a
wealth of well preserved architectural heritage. Numerous
washhouses and crosses lie along the footpaths.
The church dates from the end of the Romanesque
period. The Ciné Pause cultural association organises
a number of cinema-based events, and notably a
high quality film festival. (July 31 to August 4, 2013

Perched on a hill between Cluny, Cortambert and Azé, the village
opens onto a magnificent, tree-studded rolling landscape
where a multitude of dry stone walls still remain. The church dates
from the 11th Ancien moulin des murgers (3 km), balade en forêt (8 km), le Mont (8 km), Donzy-le-National
cdans sa diversité (17 km).

the “Pavillon Tower”.
St Thibaut’s church, with its Romanesque bell tower with
Lombard bands, is built on two floors (12th century), the
nave and apse date from 1822. Flagy has five Tuscan
crosses. Sirot castle (private), a former manor house (13th century) has retained an imposing cylindrical tower from
the feudal period. Villard, Sirot and Flagy still have three
19th Art-craft, self-catering cottage.
