. Saint Martin’s Church<br />
has lived through many eras, the transept under the<br />
bell tower, the bell tower and the apse date from the<br />
Romanesque era, and the nave was built between<br />

cCurtil-sous-Buffières<br />
Curtil-sous-Buffières is built on the slope of a hill<br />
set with copses and woods. Historical heritage<br />
includes here a castle (private property, not<br />
open for visits), a Romanesque church, a<br />
washhouse, standing stones, old houses and a<br />
well. The castle was lived in by Spanish monks.<br />
In the old priory an inscription can still be seen<br />
written in Spanish. According to tradition the<br />
water in the courtyard healed fever, colds and<br />
rheumatism.<br />

Donzy-le-National<br />
This village with its wooded, rolling landscape, boasts a<br />
wealth of well preserved architectural heritage. Numerous<br />
washhouses and crosses lie along the footpaths.<br />
The church dates from the end of the Romanesque<br />
period. The Ciné Pause cultural association organises<br />
a number of cinema-based events, and notably a<br />
high quality film festival. (July 31 to August 4, 2013<br />
- www.cinepause.org).<br />
Perched on a hill between <strong>Cluny</strong>, Cortambert and Azé, the village<br />
opens onto a magnificent, tree-studded rolling landscape<br />
where a multitude of dry stone walls still remain. The church dates<br />
from the 11th Ancien moulin des murgers (3 km), balade en forêt (8 km), le Mont (8 km), Donzy-le-National<br />
cdans sa diversité (17 km).<br />

crosses. Sirot castle (private), a former manor house (13th century) has retained an imposing cylindrical tower from<br />
the feudal period. Villard, Sirot and Flagy still have three<br />
19th Art-craft, self-catering cottage.<br />
