Contacts with Prior Positive Tuberculin Skin Tests
Use Figure 6 to select evaluation, treatment, and follow-up activities for contacts who
have prior positive TSTs. In Alaska, many contacts to TB suspects and cases have prior
positive TSTS and must have symptom screening and sputa collection to rule out active
TB. For contacts with prior positive TSTs, evaluate them with medical and exposure
history. Based on these histories, take the actions in Figure 6.
