Commercial Fishing Harbor in West Ocean City,
or shop the local outlets and specialty shops!
BERLIN
Visit the quaint town of Berlin, site for the filming
of “Runaway Bride” starring Julia Roberts
and Richard Gere & Disney’s “Tuck Everlasting”.
Browse about the farmers market, antique shops,
boutiques, art galleries, delicious restaurants and
bakeries. Like to golf? Try your luck on one of the
area’s many championship golf courses!
ASSATEAGUE ISLAND
Visit Maryland’s only oceanfront park - home of the
Wild Ponies! This barrier island is bordered by the
Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Sinepuxent Bay
on the west. Trek along nature trails on bike or on
foot or see more of the refuge and its wildlife by
boat or kayak. Then, take a try at surf fishing!
SNOW HILL
Nestled on the south banks of the Pocomoke River,
Snow Hill boasts a rich heritage that is celebrated
daily at Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum and
during a summer festival every August. Looking for
an outdoor adventure? Paddle down the river or
walk the Pocomoke Nature Trails or visit the quaint
shops and art galleries.
SALISBURY
Visit the Salisbury Zoo. It’s FREE and acclaimed
as one of the finest small zoos in the country! Visit
the world famous Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art,
catch a baseball game at
Perdue Stadium or explore
Pemberton Historical Park
and its well preserved
colonial plantation, original
home and restored
outbuildings - all built
in 1741.

days a week (except Easter Weekend), and Sunday - Wednesday in October
& November. Fort Whaley’s “Two-Bits” offer is good March 17 - April 30,
seven days a week (except Easter Weekend) and Sunday-Wednesday in May,
June, October & November (except Holidays). Not valid with any other
discounts. In honor of our American Veterans, our campgrounds offer an
“Active Duty Military Personnel and Honorably Discharged Veterans” special
during the month of November – all seven days a week! Pay for one night
and get the second night FREE. Must present valid Military ID or copy of
Honorable Discharge papers upon check-in.
MAKE US YOUR BIRD WATCHING HEADQUARTERS! Thanks to our ecological
diversity, Worcester County hosts a spectacular variety of birds, both
resident and migratory - over 350 have been recorded! Bald Eagles, owls,
herons, egrets, osprey, warblers and even the occasional wild turkey have all
been spotted on our campgrounds!
LINGER LONGER...FER FREE! All “Late Stays” before May 24 and after
September 2nd, 2013 are FREE, when available. That means y’all can stay
on yer site til 5:00 PM (rental units, 3:00 PM) on your departure day fer
FREE. And if yer site is not available, park in our corral! Just remember to
request your FREE “Late Stay” when makin’ yer reservation.
A LI’L PEACE & QUIET Ahh....no more hustle & bustle of the fast-paced
summer crowds. This is a great time of year fer campin’! A slower pace, a
quieter atmosphere and peaceful serenity abounds. It’s a perfect time for
nature walks, bike ridin’ and bird watchin’. Most spring and fall days are
also ideal for sunbathin’ on the beach or strollin’ along the Boardwalk.
Water sport rentals and charter boat fishing are still in full swing, yet the
long summer waitin’ lines have subsided.
VARIETY OF LOCAL ACTIVITIES! Y’all are gonna love discoverin’ Delmarva’s
Lower Eastern Shore while explorin’ our natural scenery and cultural
heritage by vehicle, boat, canoe, kayak, bike or on foot!

upon arrival. Personal Checks are not accepted at check-in.
We welcome overnight campers on a first-come/first-serve
basis. Please be considerate of your neighbors and plan to
arrive before 11:00 PM (quiet time).
CHECK-OUT: Check-out is 11:30 AM for Campsites and
10:00 AM for Vacation Rental Trailers and Cabins.
RESERVATION DEPOSIT: A Reservation Deposit of $100
per week per Campsite ($25 for spring or fall) is required
within 7 days of making reservations. Vacation rentals
require a deposit of $500 per week (1 night’s rate spring or
fall). Balance is due upon arrival. Checks only accepted 30
days in advance for campsites or 60 days in advance for
rental trailers and cabins.
FUTURE RESERVATIONS: Reservations may be made
one to two years in advance. A one week minimum stay
is required.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancelling or shortening a PEAK
SEASON reservation must be done at least 30 days prior to
the arrival date for campsites and 60 days prior for rental
trailers and cabins or deposits will be forfeited (7 days prior
for spring and fall).
SECURITY DEPOSIT: Vacation Rental Trailers and Cabins
require a $50 security deposit at check-in. The security
deposit will be refunded when the key is returned. Lost key
fee is $35.00.
MINIMUM STAYS: Advance reservations during peak
season must be for a period of 3 nights or more. Holidays
(Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th and Labor Day Weekend)
require a 3-night minimum stay. Vacation Rental Trailers
and Cabins require a 2 night minimum in spring and fall
and one week minimum during peak season.

the campsite, they must be placed in storage or designated
overflow area.
PETS: WE LOVE PETS...However, all pets must wear
current and valid rabies tags, be leashed, cleaned up
after, attended to at all times and not be vicious or exotic.
Sorry, pets are not allowed in vacation rentals except
for designated “Pet Friendly” units. Pets may not be left
unattended at any time. Excessive barking is not permitted.
Pets are not permitted in Group Tent areas.
BICYCLES: DON’T FORGET YOUR BIKE HELMET! Maryland
State Law requires that children

South. After the DE Memorial Bridge, follow signs for Rt. 1 South
towards Dover. In Dover, take Rt. 113 South. Continue on Rt. 113
crossing into MD. Just after the state line take a right on Rt. 610.
Continue on Rt. 610 & cross over Rt. 50. Fort Whaley is on the corner
of Rt. 610 and Rt. 50 East.
FER ALL Y’ALL BUCKAROOS FROM PA: Take I-95 South. Follow signs
for Rt. 1 South towards Dover. In Dover, take Rt. 113 South. Continue
of Rt. 113 crossing into MD. Just after the state line, take a right on
Rt. 610. Continue of Rt. 610 and cross over Rt. 50. Fort Whaley is on
the corner of Rt. 50 and Rt. 610.
FER ALL Y’ALL BORN WEST OF THE BAY FROM WESTERN PA, WEST-
ERN MD, WASHINGTON DC & NORTHERN VA: From Beltway 495, take
Rt. 50 E. Continue past Salisbury for approx. 15 minutes. Turn right at
Rt. 610 (Dale Rd.) in Whaleyville. Fort Whaley is on the corner, on the left.
