1. ELIGIBILTY<br />
PROCEDURE OF NAAC ASSESSMENT OF AFFILIATED COLLEGES<br />
Which colleges may apply ?<br />
- Colleges affiliated to a “recognized University” and which have completed 5 years s<strong>in</strong>ce <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
establishment or with a record <strong>of</strong> at least 2 batches <strong>of</strong> students hav<strong>in</strong>g completed <strong>the</strong>ir degree<br />
programmes, whichever is earlier.<br />

2. THE PROCESS OF INSTITUTIONAL ASSESSMENT & ACCREDITATION<br />
It <strong>in</strong>volves 4 stages –<br />
i. On-l<strong>in</strong>e submission <strong>of</strong> letter <strong>of</strong> <strong>in</strong>tent (LOI) & Institutional Eligibilty for Quality<br />
Assessment (IEQA) format<br />
ii. Preparation and submission <strong>of</strong> a Self Study Report (SSR) by <strong>the</strong> Institution.<br />
iii. Peer team visit to <strong>the</strong> Institution.<br />
iv. F<strong>in</strong>al Decision by NAAC.<br />
3. FEE STRUCTURE :<br />
On <strong>the</strong> recommendation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Executive Committee (EC) <strong>of</strong> NAAC, <strong>the</strong> University Grants<br />
Commission (UGC) has approved <strong>the</strong> follow<strong>in</strong>g fee structure-<br />
i. For seek<strong>in</strong>g IEQA status – Rs. 2000/-<br />
ii For Assessment & Accreditation-<br />
Colleges with faculties i.e. Arts, Science (Commerce<br />
will be treated as a part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Arts) -Rs. 50,000/-<br />
Colleges with s<strong>in</strong>gle faculty viz. Arts or Science or<br />
Law or any o<strong>the</strong>r -Rs. 25,000/-<br />
* For <strong>in</strong>stitutions covered under <strong>the</strong> 2 (f) & (b) <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> UGC Act, 1956, <strong>the</strong> Accreditation fee is<br />
waived.<br />
