1. SLQACC :1 st meeting on 14 th July 2006. Unanimously resolved to set
up the CQAC, a “working Group” to visit Colleges for creating awareness.
Provide direction and guidance to undergo NAAC Assessment &
Accreditation
2. CQAC :1 st meeting on 17 th Oct. 2006. A concrete action plan was
chalked out to visit the eight 2 (f) & 12 (B) Colleges in the State of Nagaland,
yet to be assessed by NAAC.

Beginning of XIth Plan Period :
1. SLQACC - A meeting was held on 31 st July 2007. in this meeting, some Govt.
Colleges/Institutions were identified for NAAC Assessment within the XI Plan Period.
2. Principals Workshop on the New Methodology of Assessment & Accreditation – NAAC. On 30 th
Oct. 2007 at Hotel Japfü. The meeting was well attended by Principals of both Govt. and Private
Colleges. Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, the Hon’ble Minister was the Chief Guest and Prof. K.Kannan,
Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University was the guest of honour. The main resource persons were Dr.
Jaganath Patil, Deputy Adviser NAAC, Bangalore and Dr. S.C. ray, Deputy Secretary, UGC, NERO,
Guwahati.
3. One- Day Workshop for QAC Heads on 22 nd Jan’2009 at Bangalore – Attended by Director, Higher
Education.
4. Seminar for NAAC Coordinators of unassessed colleges in Nagaland was held on 26 th March
2009 at the conference hall of Higher Education Directorate. Shri F.P. Solo, Commissioner &
Secretary to the Govt. of Nagaland, Higher & Technical Education was the Chief Guest. The
resource persons were S.K.Pradhan and K.K. Singh coordinator, NAAC, Steering Committee from
St. Anthony’s College, Shillong. (NAAC Acredited Grade A)
Highlights of QAC Nagaland :
- We are giving emphasis on Quality Education
- The Higher Education Department is now closely working with NAAC (National Assessment &
Accreditation Council)
- The State Quality Assurance Cell (SQAC) to monitor Quality Education has been activated
- Our colleges have now been made aware of the importance of Quality Education.
- Re-assessment of already NAAC Assessed Institutions to be encouraged
