3.Polycarbonate Ro<strong>of</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> Kohima College, Kohima- The Department also took up <strong>the</strong> work<br />
for Polycarbonate ro<strong>of</strong><strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> Kohima College. Out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> orig<strong>in</strong>al estimated cost <strong>of</strong> Rs.165.10<br />
lakhs, an amount <strong>of</strong> Rs.80.00 lakhs has been released and an amount <strong>of</strong> Rs.85.10 lakhs is made<br />
available dur<strong>in</strong>g 2008-09. The project had been completed. However, ow<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>the</strong> Revised<br />
Estimate <strong>of</strong> Rs.175.10,an amount <strong>of</strong> Rs.10.00 lakhs has to be carried over to <strong>the</strong> com<strong>in</strong>g<br />
f<strong>in</strong>ancial year,2009-10.<br />
Apart from <strong>the</strong> completed projects, <strong>the</strong> Department have implemented various works programme<br />
under <strong>the</strong> State Plan for ongo<strong>in</strong>g works and at <strong>the</strong> same time taken up new projects.<br />

3.Achievements under Academic<br />
(a) Towards Capacity Build<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>the</strong> Department held a workshop on 4 th July,2008 on Right to<br />
Information and Disaster Management <strong>in</strong>volv<strong>in</strong>g one Lecturer each from all <strong>the</strong> Secular Colleges<br />
and Govt. permitted Theological Colleges <strong>in</strong> <strong>Nagaland</strong><br />
Right to Information (RTI) has become a sanctioned mandate which cannot be taken lightly by<br />
any Department, fur<strong>the</strong>r, Disaster Management has also become more necessary than ever before<br />
due to untold natural and unnatural phenomenon, <strong>the</strong>refore, <strong>the</strong> Workshop was found to be<br />
beneficial to all<br />
