MANUAL – VI : A statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its
control.
As stated above, More so, Nagaland Higher Education Service Rules 2003 is a Legal
Documents, whereas Annual Administrative Reports published annually are not legal documents.
MANUAL – VII : The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with or
representation by the members of the public in relation to the
formulation of its policy or administration.
Presently, none as of now, there is no arrangement for direct consultation with or
representation by, the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or
administration.
MANUAL – VIII : A statement of boards, Council, Committees and other bodies
constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advice, and as to
whether meetings of those boards, Council, Committees and other
bodies are open to public, or the minutes of such meetings are
accessible for public.
STATE EDUCATION COMMITTEE OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Sits from time to time for the following purposes :
(i) Distribution of grant-in-iad to the govt. recognized Secular Colleges and Private
Theological colleges.
(ii) To consider for giving permission and No objection Certificate to applicants seeking
for opening new Theological colleges and Secular private colleges respectively.
(iii) To take discussion onother academic matters and take decisions.
The following members constitutes the State Education Committee.

Advisory Committee and governing Body.
As per Nagaland University Ordinance, every govt. college is to constitute an Advisory
Committee to look after the well-being of the college.
The Committee is constituted of not more than fifteen members which shall consist of
among others, (1) Three teachers including Principal
(2) Two teachers of the University nominated by the Executive Council.
Similarly, in every private colleges a Governing Body is constituted as follows :-
Not more than fifteen persons approved by the Executive Council and including among
others,
(i) Two teachers of the University to be nominated by the Executive Council
(ii) Three representatives of the teaching staff of whom the Principal of the
college shall be one.
Principals & HODs of all the Govt. colleges meet on a regular basis to discuss pertinent
issues and share their best practices.
