Waterworks is that <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>put water is automatically shut off if electrical power is lost<br />

or if <strong>the</strong> UV lamp is not sufficiently warmed up for full radiation output. Many of<br />

<strong>the</strong>se systems have been deployed <strong>in</strong> Bangladesh, <strong>the</strong> Philipp<strong>in</strong>es, <strong>and</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r tropical<br />

countries.<br />

After discuss<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> system requirements <strong>and</strong> geographical location with <strong>the</strong> user,<br />

<strong>the</strong> system <strong>in</strong>tegrator will calculate four figures-of-merit to correctly size <strong>the</strong> system.<br />

These are <strong>the</strong> expected m<strong>in</strong>imum daily solar energy for <strong>the</strong> given geographical location,<br />

<strong>the</strong> required average daily watt-hours (which is energy), <strong>the</strong> required daily<br />
