Ideas for planning your activities around a monthly theme
We are leaping into February with Valentine's Day, Chocolate Month, and Leap Day. Pull back your
bow and aim to have a great time with all of the wonderful programming this month.
Begin with a title for your monthly theme.
Here are some possibilities:
• Leaping Into February with Cherubs & Chocolates
• A Cupid & Chocolate February
• Hitting Our Mark in February
• Hit Me With Your Best Shot in February
Design a special sign.
We have two different signs to help you advertise all of your theme-related activities this month. Open
one of the files, type in your information, and print.

Design a special logo or mascot to symbolize your monthly theme.
A Cupid would be perfect. Personify your mascot by giving it a
name. Use it to advertise your theme-related programs. ("Clyde
the Cupid invites you to __________ .") Put copies in picture
frames and place them in the high-traffic areas of your
community.
For a logo, use a heart with an arrow through it or a box of
chocolates. Download the images on this page. They are
perfect.

Build your month around the theme.
Begin by visiting our Decorate & Accentuate page where you will find special theme bulletin board
