The counsellors at the different TASO sites have noticed that some of the clients who attend their centres choose to disclose their HIV status to their partners while others choose not to. In order to better support and assist the clients, we are trying to understand the reasons for which they choose to disclose or not to disclose. C5. The researcher will invite the participants to share: • How and what enabled them to go and take an HIV test • Whether they were able to share the results with anyone soon after. • About their experiences in the disclosure of serostatus to their partner • What they considered as factors that inhibit disclosure to sexual partners • From their experiences and experiences of other clients what factors they consider to enable disclosure to sexual partners • What suggestions they have that would improve disclosure to sexual partners among TASO Mulago clients on ART. 90
