The plastic sheet indicating the indentati<strong>on</strong> positi<strong>on</strong> of each participant will be<br />
enclosed with the artifact sets. It shall be placed <strong>on</strong> the artifact block in order to ensure<br />
the indentati<strong>on</strong> positi<strong>on</strong> before making the indentati<strong>on</strong>.<br />
5. Measurement of Artifacts<br />
The primary Rockwell hardness machines used for the comparis<strong>on</strong> must be passed<br />
the verificati<strong>on</strong> according to ISO 6508-3 [1]. Before making the indentati<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> each<br />
block, the testing cycle must be adjusted to comply with ISO 6508-3. Then start to<br />
measure the hardness value of artifact blocks by making 9 indentati<strong>on</strong>s each block <strong>on</strong><br />
the designated area <strong>on</strong> the indentati<strong>on</strong>-positi<strong>on</strong>ing sheet.<br />
Each participant must give a characteristics descripti<strong>on</strong> of your primary Rockwell<br />
hardness machine, your primary indenter, testing c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong> and envir<strong>on</strong>mental<br />
informati<strong>on</strong>. Also laboratory must report the measurement results for each indentati<strong>on</strong><br />
and the uncertainty of measurement of Rockwell hardness scale A and Rockwell<br />
hardness scale B, and uncertainty budget of measurement.<br />
