SCL, Hong Kong was able to make the measurement only in HRB scale, while others
participants made the measurement in all the range of hardness scales, i.e. both in HRA
and HRB.
4. Artifacts
The artifact reference blocks for Rockwell hardness scale A and scale B are
manufactured by Asahi Giken Co.,Ltd. Japan. Each scale consists of hardness block
with serial number as in the table 4. The dimensions of the blocks are 65 mm in
diameter and thickness of each block as in the table 4. All hardness block with 10.5 mm
thickness are made from brass while the rest is made from steel.
