KILN FIRED PAINTS
Unique has moved to a new area with the release of a line of glass colors. We feel this product is exceptional in
ease of application and stability. Pre-mixed and water soluble, these colors are bright and clean with a high
gloss. Both transparent and opaque colors are available for use on many types of glass, on ceramic glazes.
There are 4 matte colors and two outlining paints, a white and a black, which are also matts. Thinned colors can
be brushed, sponged, sprayed or applied with a pen. All colors should be mixed only within the mixing group that
they are in. Thin colors to the consistency of milk, then “puddle” the color on. This will allow brush marks to level
out, giving a smooth finish. They tend to settle somewhat in the jar and will have to be stirred before and during
use.
Firing from cone 017 to cone 015 on glass. Most numbers hold their color to much higher temperature. The
D series (reds) can be fired to cone 016 along with any of the other colors. Any reds purchased afterJanuary
1995 are new formulas and are no longer heat sensitive. These colors are not intended for use on surfaces that
will come in contact with food or drink. Use with drape molds where color is on the outside surface will be
acceptable for food containers.
Comes in 1 oz. jars.
