Introduction
Today is Pentecost— a word that means
Fiftieth Day — the last day of Easter. This is
the day we remember and celebrate the
promise of the risen Jesus to send us the
Holy Spirit. Let us together claim this promise

TODAY WE celebrate the Ascension of the Lord.
After He ascended into heaven, He sent the
Holy Spirit as a guide and comforter. Let us allow the
Holy Spirit to guide us to reach out to those in need
providing comfort and assurance that they are cared
about.
Financial assistance is needed. Please place your
donations in the Poor Box located outside the cry room
door. Please note that ALL MONIES donated to St.
Mary St. Vincent de Paul remain in this area, and are
used to assist local families in need.

SPRING CLEAN-UP
Saturday, May 29th
Volunteers Welcomed
SPRING HAS come to St. Mary, and as a result,
our annual clean-up will take place on Saturday, May 29th
beginning at 9 a.m. If you can volunteer, please call Ron
Leffert at 887-4940.
FAIR 2010
THE 2010 ST MARY PARISH FAIR needs your
help. We are looking for parishioners to assist
with a couple of our activities.
Anna Lesnek is seeking a Bake Sale co-chair. Anna is
looking for someone who will work with her pre-fair and
during the fair. Baking skill in not a necessity.
We are in need of a couple of our older high school
students to chair and run the Welcome Tent. This activity
involves greeting guests at the entrance to the fair and
giving balloons to the young children.
Our biggest need is a Silent Auction Chairperson (or
couple). Last year’s assistant will return to work with this
year’s chairperson to contact area businesses and groups
to solicit donations for the auction.
Volunteering allows a person to demonstrate their
Christian faith in following Jesus’ teachings of service to
others.
