Chapter 9. Installation and migration During the installation and/or migration to DB2 V8, the system programmer should be aware of the way some installation parameters impact performance. Often the system parameters are chosen based on defaults and are carried along, but sometimes they change across versions and might need adjusting. In this chapter we review several factors that have an impact on the performance of the installation of DB2 V8.
