Chapter 1. DB2 UDB for z/OS Version 8 1 Version 8 of DB2 UDB for z/OS is the largest release ever shipped, including Version 1, which became generally available in 1985. In this chapter we briefly describe the major enhancements available with DB2 UDB for z/OS Version 8. This represents an introduction to all functions, not just those related to performance.
