Congratulations to Lilly Mc Gavin (Yr 7) who will represent
our district at the SAPSASA Hockey carnival this week and
to Euan MacLachlan (Yr 5) who has been asked to play for
another district.
We also acknowledge Robbie Bailey-Smith(Yr 7) and Sorrel
Salb(Yr 7) and congratulate them on selection into our
district SAPSASA Soccer teams. They also compete this
week.
Our Yr 6/7 SAPSASA Knockout Netball team played gallantly,
but was beaten by St John’s, Highgate. Thank you
to all parent helpers and in particular, Kathy Aiston, who
did a wonderful job organizing the team.

GOPS Annual QUIZ NIGHT

Yes, it’s that time of the year again! Our annual Quiz Night is
looming soon on the horizon. Will you be part of the action?
The theme for this year is to “Re-use, Re-create, Re-cycle”
Let your imaginations run riot!
No need to spend that fortune on the latest and greatest—hit
the opportunity stores (and donate to charity) and see “How
Low Can You Go”.
Bring along your charity purchase receipt and enter it for fabulous
prizes.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
The ‘Date With The Distinguished’ learning journey being
experienced by the Year 5, 6 and 7 students (and
teachers) has a focus on the George Eliot belief...
‘It’s never too late to become
what you might have been’
Don’t look back on the day (the week, the year, your
life) and regret. Don’t say “If only I had…..” Take the
opportunity as it presents, take it by the scruff and run
with it.
‘OP SHOP HOP’
During the evening we will be ‘recycling’ some of those classic
dances—the Madison, the Bus Stop, the Lindy Hop to name a
few—so dust off the archives, brush up on the footwork and be
prepared to trip the light fantastic.
Strut your stuff on the retro cat walk in our “Get Back There” fashion
parade.
This is a marque evening on the GOPS interactive calendar so
you have just got to be in it!
