This concert will take you to one of Strasbourg’s most picturesque churches in the old city. Originally built in the
church contains a beautiful gothic choir-screen (Jubé) . Its main jewel is the Silbermann organ dating from 1780,
that was used for a landmark recording of the complete J-S Bach organ works. The concert will feature the awardwinning
organist Francis Jacob, and the professional Chamber choir of Strasbourg. It will open with powerful organ
pieces by Bach, and close with the charming and delicate Chansons Françaises by Francis Poulenc, in a european
programme that will also feature organ and vocal pieces from Mendelssohn, Fauré and Benjamin Britten.
