For our clients, engineering services from the weyer group mean complete support during all project phases, from requirement-oriented
process development and the design of machinery and apparatus, to ensuring fulfilment of the statutory
requirements in respect of the construction and operation of the plant.
In particular, the public-authority management offered by the weyer group gives our clients the necessary planning security,
since possible cost items, e.g., from the field of plant safety, can be detected at an early stage.
Particularly in the early phase of a project, important decisions have to be made which have a considerable impact on
both later investment and the operating expenses of a process plant. By including the weyer group in this phase, it is
assured that, not only in terms of costs, but also of the project schedule, optimum general conditions for the client will
be met.

1 Conceptual design
Already in the initial phase of a project,
the weyer group can make important
contributions towards shortening the processing
time. Project-parallel, orienting
cost determinations, the preparation of
sensitivity analyses and clarification of the
approvability in the early phase, help you
find the optimum process concept.
2 Basic engineering
An important result of the basic engineering
is a reliable determination of the investment
budget and preparation of the
necessary permit application.
During process engineering, computeraided
tools to simulate the planned plant
or plant parts are used. Based on the simulation,
flowcharts are developed and the
individual design of the different equipment
parts is executed.
To complete the basic engineering, the
client receives a plant design with construction
planning, equipment lists and
permit application, as well as a cost estimate
for improving the investment
budget.

3 Detail engineering
The weyer group is neither tied to a plant
construction company nor a system or
equipment supplier. This ensures our independence
and, upon completion of the
detail engineering, gives the client the
assurance of awarding a really cost and
benefit-optimized project.
During detail engineering, the weyer
group prepares the complete tender documents,
both for the construction and the
process part. Depending on the client’s
or project requirements, the tender documents
are detailed to a lesser or greater
degree. Typically, 3D computer models
of the planned plant are prepared. These
models form the basis for piping and human
interface design.
The weyer group provides support from
procurement up to award of the contract.
During erection, our site managers supervise
construction progress with respect to
the schedule and the quality requirements
to ensure a trouble-free commissioning.
4 Public-authority management
Plant construction requires an intimate
knowledge of the legal requirements of
the most differing fields. The weyer group
employs all the expert consultants needed
for the construction and operation of a
plant. Should the plant be subject to the
German Hazardous ncidents Ordinance,
recognized experts in accordance with
§ 29a of the German Federal mmission
Control Act (BmSchG) can be provided by
the weyer group.
All expert opinions lead to the preparation
of a permit application, that is compiled
by our personnel in close contact with the
permit authorities. Due to the integral approach
in the individual special fields, planning
changes as a result of legal require-
ments can be minimized. This increases
the reliability of the budget cost estimate
considerably and contributes towards the
client’s planning security.
