MATERIALS AND METHODS
Two types of experiments were conducted for the nutritional evaluation. A six-day,
short-term, preliminary toxicity test was Used to determine the dietary concentration of
beta-sitosterol for the two-week experimental test This chapter explains the
experimental design, with materials and methods for each ofthe parameters tested.
