Oh, is THAT so ? sez the aristocrat, wrinklin’ up his nose with<br />

So I continue readin’ the tidbits:<br />

Holland Park West, or wherever, there may be an IMAGE portrayin’.<br />

But the only reaction to America having an industry I have read was one<br />

about the multiplication of bed bugs; that was considered beneath the<br />

dignity of Rome radio, but might in time be found to be the only<br />

adequate reply to such nonsense.<br />

As to Britain’s FUTURE might, you git “420,” quattro cento venti; the<br />

Italian penny comic and you will find what Italy is FEELING and<br />

thinking; during the 1914 unpleasantness “420” used to bring weekly<br />

pleasure to thousands with its “IMAGES” of Franz Josef. That is now<br />

what Italy THINKS about Roosevelt and England. And as for being<br />

strong but impoverished, there are still tender hearts, NO longer<br />

anglophile in general; but having traces of friendship for personal<br />

friends IN England and they have been known to wonder whether people<br />

who had 1000 sterling per annum will after this war have 100, and those
