Sharif Waked was born in Nazareth to a Palestinian refugee family from the village of Mjedil.<br />

He lives <strong>and</strong> works in Haifa/Nazareth. Through ironic reflections on power <strong>and</strong> politics, Waked<br />

overturns established aesthetic <strong>for</strong>mations <strong>and</strong> ponders the absurd realities of political conflict.<br />

Waked has exhibited at various biennials <strong>and</strong> museums in the Middle East, Europe <strong>and</strong><br />

Eyal Weizman je arhitekt koji živi i radi u Londonu. Studirao je arhitekturu pri Architectural<br />

Association u Londonu, a doktorirao je na London Consortiumu, Birkbeck College. Trenutačno<br />

je direktor Centra za istraži<strong>van</strong>ja u arhitekturi na Goldsmiths-koledžu, a prije toga je predavao<br />

arhitekturu u Beču na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti. Od 2008. je član upravnog odbora B’Tselem<br />

managing board. Djeluje kao predavač, kustos, te organizator konferencija u institucijama širom<br />

svijeta. Weizman sarađuje sa brojnim nevladinim organizacijama u Izraelu/Palestini, a sudjelovao<br />

je i u brojnim umjetničkim projektima. Bio je kurator izložbe “Civilna okupacija - politika<br />

izraelske okupacije” koja je izazvala mnoge kontroverze u Izraelu ali i medunarodno. Autor je knjiga<br />

A Civilian Occupation (Verso Books 2003.), Hollow L<strong>and</strong> (Verso Books 2007.), serije Territories 1,<br />

2 <strong>and</strong> 3, Yellow Rhythms i mnogih članaka u časopisima, magazinima, i publikacijama. Weizman je<br />

član uredničkog savjeta inflexion journal-a i glavni je član je uredništva Cabinet Magazine-a (New<br />

York). Weizman je dobitnik Nagrade James Stirling Memorial Lecture Prize za 2006.-2007.<br />

Eyal Weizman is an architect based in London. He studied architecture at the Architectural Association<br />

in London <strong>and</strong> completed his Ph.D. at the London Consortium, Birkbeck College. He is<br />

the director of the Center <strong>for</strong> Research Architecture at Goldsmiths College, University of London.<br />

Be<strong>for</strong>e this role, Weizman was Professor of Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.<br />

Since 2008 he has been a member of B’Tselem managing board. Weizman has taught, lectured,<br />

curated, <strong>and</strong> organized conferences in many institutions worldwide. Weizman collaborated<br />

with many NGOs in Israel/Palestine, <strong>and</strong> has participated in numerous art projects. He curated<br />

the exhibition Civil occupation – the politics of Israeli occupation, which sparked controversies<br />

in Israel but also internationally. His books include Hollow L<strong>and</strong> (Verso Books, 2007), A Civilian<br />

Occupation (Verso Books, 2003), the series Territories 1, 2 <strong>and</strong> 3, Yellow Rhythms <strong>and</strong> many articles<br />

in journals, magazines <strong>and</strong> edited books. Weizman is a member of editorial advisory board to<br />

inflexion journal <strong>and</strong> is an editor-at-large <strong>for</strong> Cabinet Magazine (New York). Weizman is the recipi-
