Florian Schneider is a filmmaker, writer, <strong>and</strong> curator. In his work he focusses on bordercrossings<br />

between mainstream <strong>and</strong> independent media, art <strong>and</strong> activism, theory <strong>and</strong> open source technology.<br />

As a filmmaker he directed several award-winning documentaries <strong>and</strong> designed <strong>and</strong> realized<br />

two theme-evenings <strong>for</strong> the German-French TV station arte on the topics of migration <strong>and</strong> activism.<br />

He is one of the initiators of the KEIN MENSCH IST ILLEGAL (no one is illegal) campaign at<br />

documenta X <strong>and</strong> subsequent projects such as the “noborder network” <strong>and</strong> the internet plat<strong>for</strong>m<br />

KEIN.ORG. He initiated <strong>and</strong> co-organized the new media festivals MAKEWORLD (2001), NEUROnetworking<br />

europe (2004), “Borderline Academy” (2005), “SUMMIT - nonaligned initiatives in<br />

education culture” <strong>and</strong> the multimedia project “DICTIONARY OF WAR” (2006 -). He has lectured<br />

at universities, museums, <strong>and</strong> conferences worldwide. Since 2006 he teaches theory at the art<br />

academy Trondheim. Since autumn 2008 he is advising researcher at Jan <strong>van</strong> Eyck Academie<br />

Maastricht. At the moment he is working on his PHD-project on “Imaginary property” at the<br />

<strong>Institute</strong> <strong>for</strong> Research Architecture in Goldsmiths College, London. In 2008 he participated with<br />

per<strong>for</strong>mances <strong>and</strong> video installations at the biennales in Gwangju, Taipei <strong>and</strong> Brussels, as well as<br />

Manifesta 7 (Trento <strong>and</strong> Bolzano). He is co-editor of Wörterbuch des Krieges, Merve-Verlag, Berlin<br />

2008.<br />

Slaven Tolj rođen je 1964. u Dubrovniku. Diplomirao je na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u<br />

Sarajevu 1987. godine. Sudjelovao je na brojnim samostalnim i skupnim izložbama u zemlji i<br />

inozemstvu (Documenta Kassel 1997, Body <strong>and</strong> the East, Moderna galerija Ljubljana 1998, Muzej<br />

suvremene umjetnosti Zagreb 1998, Apex Art, New York 2000, ). Od 1988. godine voditelj je programa<br />

Art radionice Lazareti.<br />

Slaven Tolj was born in 1964 in Dubrovnik. He studied at the Academy of Contemporary Art in<br />

Sarajevo, where he gratuated in 1987. He participated at numerous solo <strong>and</strong> group exhibitions in<br />

Croatia <strong>and</strong> abroad (Documenta, Kassel 1997, Body <strong>and</strong> the East, Moderna galerija Ljubljana 1998,<br />

Muzej suvremene umjetnosti Zagreb 1998, Apex Art, New York 2000.). Od 1988. godine voditelj je<br />

programa Art radionice Lazareti<br />

Jelena Vesić je nezavisna kustosica, umjetnička kritičarka koja živi i radi u Beogradu. Ko-urednica<br />

je časopisa Prelom i članica Prelom Kolektiva. Njen rad je uglavnom posvećen politikama<br />

reprezentacije u umjetnosti i vizuelnoj kulturi, kao i kritičkom istraži<strong>van</strong>ju novih modela<br />

interakcije između teorije i umjetnosti u širem društvenom polju. Njena kustoska praksa često<br />

eksperimentiše sa okvirima, metodologijama, te kontekstualnim i kolaborativnim aspektima<br />

predstavljanja umetnosti. Objavljivala je svoje tekstove u različitim umetničkim časopisima i<br />

publikacijama kao što su: Idea/art+society/ (Cluj), Version (Paris), Galerija Nova Newspapers (Zagreb),<br />

Afterartnews /Onestarpress/ (Paris), (An)other Publication (Rotterdam), Blue Monday art-critical blog /<br />
