experimental conditions in the SLI group; and (2) later latencies of characteristic peaks of<br />

ERP components (if they could be identified at all in the SLI group given the -100 – 1000<br />

ms window).<br />

However, one more comparison should be made. The difference between the experiments<br />

is very small in the group of children with SLI. Figure 71 shows violation condition in<br />

both ‘tense-chi’ and ‘case-chi’ experiment <strong>for</strong> all electrodes. The similarity is especially<br />

observable on the frontal and central electrodes where the dissociation of the syntactic<br />

processing should have been most prominent (Figure 72).<br />
