Specialization in Persuasive <strong>Communications</strong><br />

Head <strong>of</strong> the Specialization: Dr. Yariv Ben-Eliezer.<br />

The specialization in persuasive communications is aimed at training the graduates for engagement in<br />

the fields <strong>of</strong> strategic consulting, public relations and advertising. The program imparts knowledge and<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional tools to the graduates, which will enable them to rapidly assimilate into the market and to<br />

display their skills in public relations and the media, by initiating events and in advertising, in the<br />

printed press, on the radio and television and over the Internet. The specialization in persuasive<br />

communications includes theoretical courses, practical workshops and research seminars.<br />

Specialization in Television Studies<br />

Head <strong>of</strong> the Specialization: Dr. Amit Lavie- Dinur<br />

The specialization combines theoretical and empirical studies in the fields <strong>of</strong> television and radio,<br />

together with the acquisition <strong>of</strong> practical skills. The students will be trained in in-depth research<br />

deliberation regarding popular media content, while practically experiencing the content creation. The<br />

range <strong>of</strong> workshops in the specialization) will enable students to accumulate experience in production,<br />

to gain pr<strong>of</strong>essional experience in the creation <strong>of</strong> content, and to engage in the development <strong>of</strong> new<br />

formats for television and radio. The objective <strong>of</strong> the specialization is to prepare the graduates to<br />

integrate into a range <strong>of</strong> positions in the broadcast outlets.<br />

Specialization in Interactive <strong>Communications</strong><br />

Head <strong>of</strong> the Specialization: Dr. Oren Zuckerman<br />

This specialization <strong>of</strong>fers a broad and innovative range <strong>of</strong> theoretical courses, practical workshops and<br />

research seminars that focus on classic and up-to-date subjects in the fields <strong>of</strong> Internet and new media:<br />

Digital culture, participative media, virtual worlds, Internet communities, cross platform content and<br />

marketing, interactive user experience, etc. The graduates <strong>of</strong> this specialization will acquire tools for<br />

strategic thinking, creativity, production, and academic research in this up-to-date field, as a foundation<br />

for assimilation into media companies in the Internet and New Media Departments and in start-up<br />

companies in the fields <strong>of</strong> content and user experience.<br />
