In the 8oth number of this work we gave a figure of the Pelargonium tricolor, a plant very generally regarded as the moft beautiful of the genus ; we now prefent our readers with the reprefentation of an Erodium, which has to boaft nearly an equal fhare of admiration. This fpecies, as we learn from the Hortus Kewenjis, is a native of the Cape, and was introduced by Mr. MASS ON in the year 1787. Its ufual time of flowering is July and Auguft ; in this point * is inferior to the Pelargonium tricolor, which bloffoms through the fpring as well as fummer months. It produces feeds but fparingly ; cuttings of the plant are ftruck with lefs difficulty than thofe of the Pelargonium above ^^ntioned, the fame treatment is applicable to both plants, "ley muft be regarded as green-houfe plants of the more ?c«ider kind, which are liable to be deftroyed in the winter lc*fon by a moift cold atmofphere.
