Propose solutions to strengthening the link between academia and industry to<br />
ensure<br />
that graduates have the required skills necessary for the workforce. Define a list of<br />
required skills by industry that graduates need for workforce employment and<br />
specify if<br />
these are applicable on a regional or international scale.<br />
Define a strategy for fostering international collaborations while geoscientists are<br />
still<br />
in school. At what point in the academic program should these collaborations<br />
begin?<br />
What avenues currently exist for fostering these relationships? What role can the<br />

Network play in developing these opportunities? Identify other avenues for<br />

international collaborations (industry, university transfer programs, faculty-student<br />
