On motion of Mr. Howard, the preceding items were approved by the

Neal, Mr. Stone, Governor Thompson.

EXECUTIVE SESSION ADJOURNED FOR COMMITTEE MEETINGS
Mr. Forsyth announced that the executive session would be adjourned for
meetings of the Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Committee,
Buildings and Grounds Committee, and General Policy Committee.
The Board of Trustees regular meeting reconvened at 12: 15 p.m.
Mr. Stone was present at this time.
MINUTES APPROVED
The secretary presented for approval the press proof of the minutes of
the Board of Trustees meeting of December 12, 1979, T ies o'f which
had previously been sent to the board.
On motion of Mr. Howard, these minutes were approved as printed
on pages 477 to 496 inclusive.
TENTATIVE BOARD CALENDAR, FISCAL YEAR 1981
A schedule for board meetings September 1980-July 1981 was presented
for review and comment. The calendar was approved, subject to a final
review for its compatibility with the academic calendar.
REGULAR MEETING RECESSED FOR LUNCHEON
President Forsyth announced that the regular meeting would be recessed
for luncheon. The regular board meeting reconvened at 1 : 30 p.m.
BUSINESS PRESENTED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY
President Ikenberry recognized and introduced observers from the cam-
pus senates and from the University Senates Conference.'
President's Reports
President Ikenberry presented a report on seIected topics of current inter-
est, copies of which were distributed at the meeting, and a copy was
filed with the secretary of the board.
