Dean of the College of liberal Arts and Sciences, Chicago Circle
(4) The chancellor at Chicago Circle has recommended the appointment of Philip
Dwinger, presently professor and head of the Department of Mathematics, as dean
of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, beginning September 1, 1979, on a
twelve-month service basis, at an annual salary of $55,000.
Dr. Dwinger will continue to hold the rank of professor of mathematics on
indefinite tenure. He will succeed Elmer B. Hadley who has asked to be relieved
of the deanship effective September 1, 1979.
This recommendation is made with the support of the Executive Committee of
the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and with the advice of a search committee.'
