On motion <strong>of</strong> Mr. Lenz, this recommendation was approved by the<br />

following vote: Aye, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Howard, Mr. Lenz, Mr.<br />

Livingston, Mr. Neal, Mrs. Rader, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Velasquez; no,<br />

none; absent, Governor Thompson.<br />

Contract with the Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District<br />

(23) <strong>The</strong> president <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong>, with the concurrence <strong>of</strong> appropriate adminis-<br />

trative <strong>of</strong>ficers, and subject to the approval <strong>of</strong> the governor, recommends that a<br />

contract with the Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District he authorized. <strong>The</strong><br />

contract would provide for the planning, design, and construction <strong>of</strong> a pumping<br />

station, transmitter lines from the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong>-Willard Airport to the<br />

Savoy sanitary system, hook-up charge, and provide for an operating sanitary sys-<br />

tem from Willard Airport to the Urbana and Champaign Sanitary District region-<br />

alized system at a cost not to exceed $110,000.<br />

Funds are available in appropriations to the <strong>University</strong> for fiscal year 1979<br />

but with expenditures subject to the prior approval <strong>of</strong> the governor.<br />

Employment <strong>of</strong> Architects and Engineers, Capital Development<br />

<strong>Board</strong> Projects, Fiscal Year 1979<br />

(24) <strong>The</strong> president <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong>, with the concurrence <strong>of</strong> appropriate adminis-<br />

trative <strong>of</strong>ficers, recommends that the <strong>Board</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Trustees</strong> request the Capital Develop-<br />

ment <strong>Board</strong> to employ architects and engineers for the capital projects for FY 1979<br />

as listed below where applicable. <strong>The</strong> fee for each firm employed will be negotiated<br />

in accordance with the standard procedure used by the Capital Development <strong>Board</strong>.<br />
