CAREER:<br />

Charlotte was born with a cancerous tumour wrapped around her spine and started playing<br />

wheelchair tennis seven years ago after attending a Tennis Foundation junior camp.<br />

In 2010 Charlotte won the girls’ singles and reached the final of the junior doubles at the 2010<br />

National Championships.<br />

Among her most notable achievements Charlotte won her first international junior ranking event<br />

at the Cardiff Wheelchair Tennis Tournament at the end of 2010, subsequently earning her first<br />

international junior ranking.<br />

Charlotte has continued to perform well in Tennis Foundation Wheelchair Tennis Development<br />

Series events and in 2011 finished runner-up in tournaments in Shrewsbury and Preston to end<br />

the season second overall in the women’s points standings.<br />

Charlotte collected her first senior National Championships trophy in 2012, when she picked up<br />

the women’s doubles title.<br />
