LOUISE HUNT <strong>2013</strong><br />

CAREER:<br />

Louise started playing wheelchair tennis aged eight and became a very successful junior player,<br />

winning the girls’ doubles title on three occasions at the Junior Masters in Tarbes, France. She<br />

reached a career best junior ranking of No. 2 in January 2009. A two-time women’s doubles National<br />

Champion, Louise won her first senior women’s singles title in Turkey in 2009.<br />

Louise has helped GB’s women’s team to the latter stages of the World Team Cup in each of the<br />

last four seasons winning bronze medals in 2011 and 2012.<br />

She ended the 2012 season having won seven doubles titles and two singles titles, including her<br />

first ITF 2 Series women’s singles title at the Israel Open in May to ensure her qualification for<br />

London 2012, where she made her Paralympic Games debut.<br />

Louise also qualified to make her Doubles Masters debut in November 2012 and has started<br />

<strong>2013</strong> by winning two doubles titles at back-to-back tournaments in Switzerland and Great Britain<br />

and claimed the women’s singles in Sheffield and Madrid.<br />
