CAREER:
• After ten years without a senior title, she ended her title hoodoo in brilliant fashion in May
2011 with back-to-back doubles triumphs with Australian Bojana Bobusic at the ITF $10K
Landisville and ITF $10K Sumter
• In October 2011 she reached her best singles ranking of world number 650
• She made it two consecutive wins at Sumter the following year, claiming the title with USA’s
Jan Abaza
2012-13
• Becoming more of a doubles specialist, Slater won her first $50,000 ITF tournament at the
2013 Boyd Tinsley Women’s Clay Court Classic with Coco Vandeweghe, beating Nicole Gibbs
and Shelby Rogers in the final
• Following this success, she peaked at world number 235 in the doubles rankings on May 6,
2013.
PERSONAL:
Father (Paul), Mother (Angela), three sisters: Victoria, Ciara, Lotti and one brother: Paul. Started
playing mini-tennis aged 11 and was devastated to learn she had to graduate to proper tennis.
Goal for 2013 is to finish around the Top 100 mark in doubles and find a regular doubles partner.
Most memorable experience was reaching SF of $75k Phoenix in November 2012 with Borwell
and being able to work on doubles specifics and proper goal setting. Most admired players are
