TARA MOORE <strong>2013</strong><br />
CAREER:<br />
• Tara previously worked with John Morris and has based herself at the NTC since November<br />
2012. showing great improvement.<br />
• She made the 2010 final of the Grade 1 Aegon Junior International at Roehampton before<br />
finishing off her junior career by making the quarter-finals of Junior Wimbledon. On the<br />
senior circuit, won three ITF titles – at Frinton in 2008, Chiswick in 2010 and Loughborough<br />
in 2011.<br />
2012-13<br />
• Tara was selected as part of the Aegon GB Fed Cup squad in 2012 but injury prevented her<br />
from travelling with the team. During 2012, was finalist in singles in the ITF women’s $50K<br />
tournament in Kazan, Russia, and in doubles, partnering fellow Brit Lucy Brown in the ITF<br />
women’s $10K in Antalya, Turkey improving her year-end ranking almost 100 spots to 249.<br />
• <strong>2013</strong> started much better for Moore, winning two more $10k titles domestically in Preston<br />
and Glasgow, and the biggest title of her career thus far, the $25k event at Surprise-AZ<br />
(three titles in five outings) which; also a SF at $25k Edgbaston falling to third seed Bychkova<br />
which catapulted her into the world’s Top 200 for the first time on April 22; won two ITF<br />
doubles titles w/South at Rancho Mirage and Glasgow.<br />

Tara was born in Hong Kong spending time in the UK and Hong Kong as a child. Mother’s name<br />
is Monet, stepfather’s name is Kevin, and biological father’s name is Ian. Is an only child.<br />

Started playing tennis at seven and aged 10 was offered a scholarship at Bollettieri’s where she<br />
remained until she was 16. Has been based at the NTC since November 2012. Most admired<br />
tennis players are Justine Henin and Pete Sampras. Favourite surface is grass. Likes R & B music<br />
