CAREER:
Katy started her tennis at Batchwood Tennis Club in St Albans, then trained at Halton but more
recently moved to train at the NTC full time. In 2010, she won the 16U AEGON British Junior
National Championships, having reached the final of the 14U competition the year before. She
made her Junior Wimbledon debut in 2010, and played again in 2011. She won her first junior
title in April 2010, and has since added a further three titles to her tally. Katy made her senior
ITF debut in March 2011 at the Bath $25k event and in October 2011, she represented GB at the
Junior Fed Cup, helping the team to achieve a 14th place finish. In 2012 she played her first
junior Grand Slam outside of Wimbledon at the Junior Australian Open, and spent much of 2012
playing a mixture of junior and senior ITF events. Finished 2012 strongly in juniors winning Cairo
Grade 2 juniors in September, also won Korea Grade 2 over Dart 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 and was runner-up
in Osaka. In 2013, Katy reached the third round of the Australian Open and in her next junior
event, reached the SF of Milan in May.
