CAREER:<br />
• Yorkshire’s Peter Ashley won his first junior ITF event, the Grade 4 in Perak, Malaysia<br />
in October 2011 after beating fellow Brits in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and then the<br />
final.<br />
• His career highlights have been representing GB in the Winter and Summer Cups, and<br />
at the World Team Finals at U14 level.<br />
• Former Eddie Herr champion having won the 14U tournament in 2010. Peter is now<br />
looking forward to playing more British Tour events over the next few years.<br />
PERSONAL:<br />
• Started playing tennis at the age of 4… Pete sat his GCSE exams in May…<br />
Also doing his AASE coaching qualification which he’ll finish at Carnegie/Leeds Met – next<br />
year he aims to do level 2 and level 3 coaching exams, along with an “A” level qualification…<br />
Avid golfer playing off handicap 6 – also plays with his brother Simon who is seven<br />
years older.<br />
