the final Fleming & Bopanna beat top seeds<br />

Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi from Pakistan and<br />

Dutchman Jean-Julien Rojer, 6-4, 7-6(3).<br />

Tara Moore won the ITF $25,000 Surprise<br />

women’s singles title in Arizona, America.<br />

Having already beaten Madison Brengle of the<br />

USA in the last eight, Moore then went on to<br />

defeat France’s world No.183 Irena Pavlovic<br />

3-6, 7-5, 6-2. In the final Moore faced American<br />

qualifier Louisa Chirico winning 6-3, 6-1.<br />

Josh Goodall and Naomi Broady won back to<br />

back Aegon British Tour titles after sealing<br />

victory in Sutton.<br />

Emily Smith won the ITF girls’ singles title in<br />

Oslo, Norway. In the final Smith defeated the<br />

Swiss second seed, Margaux Deagostini 6-3, 6-4.<br />

Heather Watson reached another career high<br />

ranking, breaking into the world’s top 40 after<br />

reaching the quarter-finals of the US indoor<br />

tennis championships in Memphis.<br />

Tennis Cup. Keothavong & Savinykh played<br />

Yaroslava Shvedova for the title but missed<br />

Marcus Willis in the men’s singles final at The<br />

Aegon GB Pro-Series Shrewsbury. Meanwhile<br />

in the men’s doubles final David Rice & Sean<br />

Thornley won their 17th pro career title<br />

together as a pair, beating the un-seeded<br />

Belgian duo of Sander Gille & Jonas Merckx<br />

6-2, 6-1.<br />

Marc McCarroll claimed his first singles<br />

title of <strong>2013</strong> and his second career win over<br />

former world No. 3 Martin Legner of Austria<br />

to win the men’s singles title at the Biel<br />

Bienne Indoors, while McCarroll and Dermot<br />

Bailey finished runners-up in the men’s<br />

doubles and Louise Hunt finished runner-up<br />

in the women’s singles.<br />

Ed Corrie claimed his third Aegon GB Pro-<br />

Series title of <strong>2013</strong> defeating Dan Evans 6-3,<br />

7-6(4) in Bath. As a result Corrie reached a<br />

career high of 364 in the ATP rankings.<br />

Geuer claimed the women’s doubles title<br />

after defeating Viktorija Golubic (SUI) &<br />

Julia Kimmelmann (GER) 6-3, 6-4.<br />

Alex Jewitt and Louise Hunt won the men’s<br />

and women’s singles titles at the Sheffield<br />

Wheelchair Tennis Tournament as Britain’s<br />

third world ranking tournament on the <strong>2013</strong><br />

Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) reached<br />

the quarter-finals of the men’s doubles in the<br />

James Ward defeated Dmitry Tursunov 6-4, 5-7,<br />

Whiley and Andy Lapthorne all won doubles<br />

titles on the penultimate day of the<br />

Gauteng Open, while Lapthorne progressed<br />

to Sunday’s quad singles final.<br />
