draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1973 NFL Draft<br />

(31st overall)… Drafted as a defensive back, he eventually<br />

switched sides of the ball during his NFL career, which covered<br />

the second most in CU history and include a 222-yard game at<br />

Missouri in 1996 (5 receptions, 2 TDs) that tied the school single<br />

game mark for receiving yardage… Ended his career second in<br />

both receptions (135) and yards (2,540) and was first in TD receptions<br />

(20) for the Buffaloes… Two-time co-winner of the Zack<br />

Jordan Award as CU’s most valuable player as a junior and<br />

senior… One of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award as a<br />

He made an immediate impact as a kickoff returner, putting up an<br />

impressive 28.4 average his rookie season, including a 93-yard<br />

3 receiving, 3 return)… He twice led the Rams in rushing<br />

(1978, 1980).<br />
