12.0 The scientific management of <strong>Agricultural</strong> <strong>Resources</strong><br />

becomes a very important part of modern agricultural production<br />

in the 21 st Century and is a new direction in the domain of<br />

agricultural engineering. Agriculture is highly dynamic in nature,<br />

because of the changing phenomenon of agricultural crops, which<br />

is further complicated by the interaction of crops with<br />

environment. A wide range of agricultural practices could be<br />

effected including potential environmental benefits that could<br />

come from minimizing adverse impacts, by reducing external<br />

inputs and greater use efficiency. Precision farming is one of the<br />

most scientific and modern approaches to sustainable agriculture<br />

that is gaining momentum in the new millennium. This approach<br />

serves the dual purpose of enhancing productivity and reducing<br />

ecological degradation, as it deals with the question of where<br />
