This municipality is located in the department of La Union, bounded as follows: North by Anamorós, south by Bolivar and San Jose, the East by El Sauce and Pasaquina, west by Sociedad Morazán Department. This town is surrounded by numerous streams and rivers. The population is 28,986 inhabitants. The municipality is divided into 8 country-sides, which are: El Algodon, La Chorrera, Pasaquinita, Copetillo, Las Piñas, San Sebastian and Las Cañas. MINES OF SAN SEBASTIAN Santa Rosa de Lima is also known for the purchase and sale of gold, which comes from the mines of San Sebastian. 18

San Miguel City has an extension of 593, 98 km² and was founded as a city in 1586. San Miguel City is the most populous city in El Salvador after Santa Ana, and it’s the third most important Salvadorian city. The Carnival of San Miguel San Miguel City has so many and historical infrastructures; one the most known is the Cathedral of "Nuestra Señora de la Paz"; its construction began in 1862 and was finished a century later, in 1962. Francisco Gavidia Theater is also another representative build of San Miguel City. “Parque Guzman” and Palacio Municipal also.
