The Espino beach is a beautiful place. Now days, the road to El Espino is
paved, just it takes 40 minutes from the city of Usulután and 2 hours and 15
minutes from the capital, San Salvador. That is one of the most visited beaches in El
Salvador
It comes from the highway El Litoral where you can find the side road. There won´t find
big five-star hotels and infrastructure, but there are small hotels and places where you can
rest, and also, the people and the beach is very comfortable.
This beach is part of Jiquilisco bay; it has a lot of estuaries, beaches and two ports (Puerto
Parada and Puerto El Triunfo).
In other way, you could be 10 meters into the beach from the shore of it and the water just
will come up to the knees.
Moreover, the beach is wrapped around by two river mouths (the Bocanita and Chepona at
east and west).
Also you can practice some sports, for example surf, volleyball, etc.
In this beach there are a lot of restaurants where you have to taste so many delicious
saucers, from our country and other countries, too.
Presently the beach still has a threat of wind erosion (it means, the sand is swept by the
wind), the waves have been dredging pieces of the lad and also have demolished down
buildings and trees.
If you want to come to Espino´s beach is an excellent place for relaxing and enjoying with
your family or friends and is very accessible, too. El Espino is a natural treasure of the
Country.
