PTSA Co-Presidents’ Message<br />

Co-Presidents <strong>Northview</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />
2008-2009<br />
As another school year comes to an end, the<br />
PTSA extends a message of thanks to an incredible<br />
group of devoted parents, teachers and staff members.<br />
Once again, we can be proud of another great school<br />
year because of the combined efforts of all to provide a<br />
quality education for our <strong>Northview</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> students.<br />
<strong>The</strong> PTSA could not have done its part without all of your<br />
volunteer assistance.<br />
We will need all of your help starting in August for<br />
the 2009-2010 school year. A new Executive Board has<br />
been elected, and they are busy getting ready to ensure<br />
that next year is as successful as years past. Next year’s<br />
PTSA Executive Board members are:<br />

PTSA News<br />
<strong>The</strong> Georgia State Science and Engineering Fair was<br />
held in Athens, GA the first week of<br />
April. <strong>Northview</strong> students represented<br />
Fulton County and our school very well.<br />
<strong>The</strong> team of Akshata Shirahatti and<br />
Smitha Ganeshan took first place in Biochemistry,<br />
Elena James won first place in Chemistry,<br />
Mark Miller won second place in Physics, and the team<br />
of Henry Zhu and Wells Yang took second in Electrical<br />
Engineering. Congratulations to All!<br />
VOLUME 7, ISSUE 3<br />
Welcome to the<br />
new Board! We know<br />
we can count on you to<br />
give this new Executive<br />
Board the same level<br />
of outstanding support<br />
that you have given<br />
this year’s Board. We hope you will give some<br />
thought over the summer as to where you would<br />
like to volunteer next year, and we encourage you<br />
to contact members of the new Board over the<br />
summer with your interests and/or questions.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re are many ways to get involved, so we hope<br />
you find a way that best fits your time, talents and<br />
interests. Contact information for these new<br />
members will be posted to the PTSA pages of the<br />
NHS website shortly.<br />
We want to extend our sincere appreciation<br />
to this year’s Board members for their organization,<br />
ideas, time and hard work. <strong>The</strong>ir service to<br />
the PTSA and the school has been invaluable.<br />
